Path of Exile has a new minor update that introduces specific changes to Path of Exile: Royale, including increased experience when killing other players, more monster drops, and more. You can get POE Currency by doing activities in the game, and then you can use it to buy better equipment and weapons. In the expedition expansion reveal, lead developer Chris Wilson stated they are bringing back Royale mode.

For those who don’t know, Royale mode is the battle royale mode of the game, where players will start at level 1 and fight other people on certain specific maps. This is a special event a few years ago. Patch 3.15.0e introduced these changes in Royale mode. It also designed this new update to help players level up faster. That’s because killing another player will get 500 experience points plus 20% of the player’s total experience. The previous setting was only 200 points plus 20%.

Now, Royale mode encourages players to kill only people at the same level as POE Currency. Patch 3.15.0e reinforces this by imposing certain penalties. Killing those two lower levels will reduce the experience gain by approximately 60%. Because combatants need time to gain the skills and support gems needed to defeat others, monsters will drop more gems.

Here are the highlights of Path of Exile: Royale’s specific changes. Gameplay: Equipment dropped from monsters and treasure chests is unlikely to be magical. Items generated on the ground are more likely to be skills and support gems. Changes to skills and support gems: Ball Lightning now deals approximately 35% more damage to players. Its damage to monsters has not changed. It has reduced the flat damage component of the explosion of the Explosive Arrow by 20% at all levels. In addition, explosive arrows now deal approximately 24% less damage to players. Royale Passive Skill Tree changes: Speed up salvos, noteworthy passives, will now also cause projectiles to penetrate once more. The Spellmaster’s Significant Passivity now increases the POE Orbs by 10%. It no longer increases spell damage by 10%. Royale bug fix: Fixed the bug that the unusable Quicksilver Flasks would occasionally drop. There are no Quicksilver Flasks in Royale. Fixed a bug where Holy Fury could not hit the player when channeling.

Players can use it during the weekend during Path of Exile: Expedition. Players who haven’t tried it yet hurry and experience it! By the way, it may launch Path of Exile 2 in 2022, and interested players are better to buy enough POE Currency in advance!
