BioWare has responded to feedback and clarified the changes to Galactic Season 2, and on the Season Objective Tab, PTS participants provided feedback on difficulty finding the Season Objective Tab. In fact, when many players looked at the PTS not too long ago, it was hard to find. Thankfully, BioWare said what they saw on PTS wasn’t complete and would be better on the live servers. Regarding the Underworld Syndicate Plans, BioWare noticed PTS was a little confused about how to get the Underworld Syndicate Plans. They plan to shed light on how to get Underworld Syndicate Plans on Nar Shaddaa by infiltrating the Competition Season Objective and Agent of the Shadow Syndicate. They explained it does not derive the Underworld Syndicate Plans from achievements, even though it appears to be the case from the emails players receive on the PTS.
It’s just the result of an incomplete system. When the extension is released, it will deposit directly plans into their currency tab. This issue shows that this content is not ready for player feedback and broader issues with the PTS. The focus of PTS testing should be on finding minor problems and improvements. Players should only see an early incomplete version if the developers want to make sure they’re heading in the right direction before dedicating more significant resources to the mission. As another example, to make this point more clear, players should only see the barebones version of what could be the Guardian and Sentinel changes to judge the method.
BioWare should hold off on the rest of the Combat Style changes until everything is fully functional, leaving the player base to critique the balance. BioWare’s current approach to PTS has consequences where they release half-cooked content and features to PTS instead of fully cooked content that just needs to be reheated. Some players aren’t looking forward to the new expansion because they don’t like some content or functionality currently on the PTS. Players end up getting confused, generating hatred instead of hype.
