Like every year, Sony will announce the most downloaded titles on the PlayStation Store for September 2022. These lists highlight the most popular PS4, PS5, PS VR as well as free-to-play games for the month, both in North America and Europe, and FIFA 23 Coins there's nothing new that are in store for this month.
Starting by playing PS5 titles, NBA 2K23 was the most downloaded game on PSN for September on North America, while FIFA 23 was the top video game on the PSN in Europe (which isn't a surprise considering how well-known football is in that region). Another September new release, The Last of Us Part 1, ranked third in both regions.
Moving to PS4, NBA 2K23 was the most downloaded game of the month across the US and Canada and Canada, while FIFA 23 took the top spot in Europe. In terms of PSVR titles, Beat Saber was the top. first game in both North America and Europe, with Job Simulator and Superhot VR placing second and third in both regions.
For games with no cost to play that cover PS5 and PS4 as a whole, Fortnite was the most-downloaded game in the US and Canada as well as Canada. Rumbleverse was the most played free-to-play game in Europe.

Sony has plans to be ambitious for the next generation of virtual reality hardware, as it plans that it will have two million models of its PSVR 2 headset ready by the end of March in 2019.
Mass production of the VR headset was reported to have begun in September (via Bloomberg) and has never faced limitations in its supply chain. With the PS5 continuing to be in high demand because of its limited availability since it launched in November 2020, Sony also plans to increase the number of consoles on shelves by the beginning of 2023, according Bloomberg's sources.
PSVR 2 is yet to receive a date after 2023. Sony is trying to make sure that they have enough PS5 consoles that can play games on the brand new headset. The hardware will only work on PS5 and will not be backwards compatible with buy FUT 23 Coins PSVR games.
