The Vikings (3-2) have won three consecutive sectional championships, and a national championship in 2020 in the time since head coach Terry Bales took Madden nfl 22 coins over the team in 2017-18. Before Bales Blue River's most recent sectional championship was won in 1984-85.
Bales began the season with a record of 72-30 in the last two seasons, with his 22-4 (9-0 in the Mid Eastern Conference) mark being his best yet. The Vikings were missing two key players with the departure of Mallory Cross and Abby Thornburgh of that team, however, so Bales' team was tasked this season to replace their 14.5 point average, 6.8 resources along with 5.4 assist per game.
However, Blue River still has senior center Ally Madden, one of the best players in the region's interior as well as sharpshooting junior Maci Chamberlin and solid depth around them to make another successful tournament.
Though four consecutive sectional titles will set the school's record and set a new record, the Vikings have some way to go towards becoming a clear postseason candidate.
"I don't know as we're still in the process of growing. I'm hoping we'll become a team capable of doing this. I don't believe that we're there yet," Bales said of the team's chances of winning a sectional championship. "We've learned how be better at defending ... try not to make the errors that don't have to be forced. We've got some retraining to do, and certainly (a the sectional titles) is where we'd like to be."
While four consecutive titles in the sectional championship could break the school's record but it's clear that the Vikings still have some way to go towards being a definitive postseason contender.
"I don't know as there is still room for growth. I'm hoping we'll become a team that's capable of doing this. I don't think that we're there yet," Bales said of the team's chances of winning having a sectional title. "We've been learning how protect better ... be careful not to make mistakes that don't have to be forced. Therefore, we've got some learning to do. Certainly (a the sectional titles) is where we'd like to be."
The Vikings will ultimately reach as far as Madden takes them. She was a 1,000-point scorer and averaged around cheap Madden 22 coins a 16-point double-double in the past two years, and is likely to soon exceed 1,000 career rebound.
